Obituary for William Arnold Jackson

William Arnold  Jackson
William (Bill) Jackson, 76, passed away
Monday March 11, 2019. He was born in
Los Angeles, CA on August 22, 1942.
After numerous moves around the country
with his family, Bill settled on Whidbey Island
in 1970 with his parents Helen and Einar Jackson
in their self built home on the beach on Mutiny Bay.

Bill made his living as a general contractor/custom
builder on Whidbey and in the Seattle area. His
carpentry influences can still be found in many
locations around the island. He was a master
craftsman and a mentor to many who wanted to
learn the trade.

Bill enjoyed skiing, golf, casinos, parties and
travel to visit with his family. Above most anything else,
Bill LOVED to fish! He was a member of "The Fishing Club".
His knowledge of the Puget Sound and his skill and
years of practice netted him quite a haul over the years.

Bill was a long time member of St. Hubert's Catholic
Church in Langley. He was also a member of the Knights
of Columbus. Bill volunteered many hours with them
including working at the Island County Fair and the
Adopt a Highway clean up crew.

He is preceded in death by his parents Einar Jackson
in 1991, Helen Jackson in 1999 as well as his brother
Walter Jackson Sr. in 2016.

He is survived by his sister Mary Meyer of Freeland, WA.
sister-in law Jane Jackson of Florida. Nephews
Walter Jackson Jr. and wife Rosalee of Camarillo, CA,
Ed Jackson and wife Lori of Spanaway, WA.
David Meyer and wife Karen of Bakersfield, CA.
Nieces Beverly Chrismer and wife Ann of Langley, WA,
Barbara Meyer and husband Jon Vincent of Seattle, WA.
Great nephews, James and Charles Jackson of Spokane, WA.
Kerry Chrismer of Langley, WA and Alexander Meyer of
Bakersfield, CA. Great nieces Stephanie Kramer and Sara
Jackson of Pullman, WA. Great great nieces Evelyn and
Adeline Kramer of Pullman, WA.

Services to be held Saturday March 30, 2019 at 11 AM
at St. Hubert's Catholic Church in Langley, WA.
Reception in the church hall after funeral Mass.
Burial service to follow at Langley Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers a donation to the church or St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital in Bill's memory.
