Our deepest sympathy to Shirley's children and grandchildren. She was a talented woman, and tougher than all the challenges she faced. Great memories when we the cousins were young visiting the big house in Anacortes. -David, Wendy, and Lars Housholder, Orange County, California.

My sister Shirley was 10 years older than me. At Christmas she always put the star on the tree. When I was 6 years old the ladder up she held it and told me to climb the ladder and do it. I carefully climbed and placed the star. She told me I did a great job. I was so proud and happy❤️
