Larry Kenneth Sell, age 71, longtime Burlington resident, passed away at his home on October 5, 2018.
Mr. Sell was born in Glendive, MT, on March 8, 1947, to Kenneth and Mildred (Kassner) Sell. He spent his early years in Montana, later moving to Lopez Island. Larry did carpentry with his father. He loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping. He also was a sports fan, especially enjoyed playing basketball and baseball and watching the Seattle Seahawks football and Seattle Mariners baseball teams. He was employed for some time at the Anaconda Aluminum Plant in Columbia Falls, MT. He served his country in the US Army.
Larry was a member of the North American Hunting & Fishing Clubs, National Rifle Association, Disabled American Veterans, WA Law Enforcement Association, Good Sam Club, ST. Jude League, and the Humane Society. Larry was a practicing Lutheran and loved the Lord.
Larry is survived by his daughter Christie Duran of ID, two grandsons, Dakota Buroker and Kaden Duran; brother Vernon Sell of MO, sister’s Joanne Hughes and Janice Sell of MT. His beloved dog “Buddy” and cat “Mama Kitty” were his world.
A Private Graveside Service will take place at Fir-Conway Lutheran Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Fort Lewis Honor Guard. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and condolences at www.whidbeymemorial.com.
